1. What This Page Is For & How It Works

This page has one primary goal: to pitch your freebie (PDF, checklist, video, etc.) and collect email addresses in exchange. There are no menus or extra links to ensure there are no distractions from the main goal.

Flexibility Note: There are many ways to configure a funnel in Systeme.io. In these notes, we present the two most effective workflows (Instant Download vs. Email Delivery). You are free to adapt these steps if your business model requires a different approach, such as redirecting to a Facebook Group, a booking calendar, or a sales page.

1. Official Systeme.io Tutorials

2. Pre-Flight Checklist: Do this BEFORE you edit!

To make the setup seamless, ensure you have these three things ready before you start technical work on the page:

• The Digital Product: Have your PDF/Link ready. You can host it on Google Drive, Dropbox, etc., or upload it directly to the Systeme.io "Files" library.

• The Tag: Go to Contacts > Tags and create one (e.g., "Lead: [Freebie Name]"). This is how you will identify and segment these contacts later.

• The Delivery Content: Decide if you are delivering the product via an Email or on the Thank You Page.

3. Choose Your Delivery Experience

Regardless of which option you choose, we always recommend setting up an Automated Email (see Step 5) so your subscriber has a permanent copy of their freebie in their inbox.

Option A: The "Instant Access" Path (Thank You Page)

• The Experience: After they click "Submit," they land on a Thank You page where a button says "Download Now."

• The Setup: On your Thank You Page, add a Button element. Set "Action on click" to Open URL and paste the link to your file.

• The Benefit: High engagement; your leads get the value immediately while they are most excited.

  Option B: The "Check Your Inbox" Path (Email Only)

• The Experience: After they click "Submit," they land on a page that says "Success! Now check your email to download your guide."

• The Setup: Use the Automation Rules (Step 5) to send the file. The Thank You page acts only as a confirmation.

• The Benefit: Higher security and better "Email Deliverability." It trains the user’s inbox to recognize you as a safe sender.

4. Opt-in Form & Button Setup

The form captures Name + Email into your database.

• Fields: Ensure the Email field is set to "Email" type and Name to "First Name." Connect to workspace contacts in settings.

• The Button Action: This is crucial. Set "Action on click" to Submit form.

• The Redirect: Under "Do you want to redirect users after registration?", select To the next step. This will automatically send them to the next page in the funnel (e.g., a Tripwire or Thank You page). You can change this to a "Custom URL" if you have decided on a different route.

5. Automation Rules (The "Brain" of the Funnel)

Without this step, your page is just a pretty wall. You must tell Systeme.io what to do the moment a visitor clicks your button.

• Access: Funnels > [Your Funnel] > Automation Rules > + Add Rule.

• Trigger: "Funnel step form subscribed."

• Action 1 (The Tag): Select "Add tag" > Choose the tag you created in Step 2.

• Action 2 (The Delivery/Follow-up): Select "Send email" (for a single message) or "Subscribe to campaign" (for a series).

• Important Note: Even if you provide the download link on the "Thank You" page, we strongly recommend also sending an automated email with the link. This ensures the customer has a copy in their inbox for future reference and helps improve your email "sender reputation."

6. Design & Mobile Optimization

• The Above the Fold Rule: Ensure your headline and the email sign-up box are visible as soon as the page loads on a mobile device without the user having to scroll.

• Mobile-Only Edits: If a headline looks correct on desktop but too large on mobile, click the Mobile icon at the bottom left of the editor. Use the mobile-specific font size slider (indicated by a phone icon) to adjust it. This will not affect the desktop version.

• The Social Thumbnail: Go to Settings (top left) and scroll to "Social Image." Upload a branded graphic so your link looks professional when shared on Facebook, WhatsApp, or other social platforms.

7. The Final Audit (Don't skip!)

Open your live link in an Incognito/Private browser window and perform a full flow test:

• Check: Did the button redirect you to the intended Thank You page or URL?

• Check: Did you receive the automated email with the freebie link within 5 minutes?

• Check: Did the file link open correctly?

• Check: Go to Contacts in your Systeme.io dashboard. Is the test email address present and does it have the correct Tag attached?
